INDUSTRY AWARDS 2026
The Northern Territory Insurance Conference Awards are now in their fifteenth year!
Since 2017, YIPs has hosted the NT Insurance Conference Awards to celebrate and showcase the outstanding achievements within NT’s Insurance Industry.
They are designed to:
- Publicly recognise and reward excellence and promote a platform of celebration in the NT.
- Provide a benchmark for best practice within the Industry
- Encourage the continual raising of standards, leading to a better experience for our clients.
- Reinforce the value of, and inspire confidence in the NT Insurance Industry
To protect the integrity of the Awards, all submissions may be reviewed using AI detection and assessment tools, together with manual review by the judging panel.
The judging panel reserves the right to deduct marks where a submission demonstrates excessive reliance on AI-generated content or lacks originality, authenticity or personal insight.
Once the nominations have closed, they will be passed onto our judging panel for review. The judging panel will pick three finalists for each category, which will be put to a public vote.
The Judging Panel will look for examples of nominees who:
• Are consistently demonstrating outstanding performance;
• Inspire or lead others to improve outcomes for the clients, employers, and other stakeholders;
• Provide evidence of measurable results and appropriate indicators.
The winners of the awards will be announced at the Northern Territory Insurance Conference Gala Dinner 2026.
BDM/ Underwriting
Professional of the Year
This award recognises a individual working within a Northern Territory based underwriting department or business development role, who has demonstrated a superior level of technical knowledge and customer service.
Open to anyone that is employed by or works for a Northern Territory based Insurer.
Claims Professional
of the Year
This award recognises outstanding service within a Northern Territory based claims department. The individual must have demonstrated exceptional service resulting in a positive claims experience for a claimant.
Open to any person who works within Northern Territory claims; either general insurance, personal injury and workers compensation.
Customer Service
Professional of the Year
This award recognises consistent outstanding customer service provided by an individual or significant contribution to the support of their Northern Territory team.
Open to anyone that is employed in any role within or servicing the Northern Territory insurance industry.
Broker of
the Year
This award recognises a Northern Territory based broking professional that has demonstrated outstanding
service in the Industry.
Open to anyone that is employed by or working for a Northern Territory based Broker or Agent.
Service Provider
of the Year
This award recognises individuals within Northern Territory organisations that have made a significant impact to the Northern Territory insurance industry through the provision of third party insurance solutions.
Open to anyone that is employed or works for any external Northern Territory company that provides support services to the Northern Territory insurance industry.
Young Insurance Professional
of the Year
This award recognises a young professional that has demonstrated outstanding achievement and passion in the Northern Territory insurance industry.
Open to anyone that is employed by or works for a Northern Territory based Insurer, Broker, Agent or other insurance intermediary (must be under the age of 35).
Outstanding Contribution to the NT Insurance industry by a Team
This award recognises outstanding Team performance which has resulted in significant and sustained improved outcomes that embody Best Practice innovation and/or outcomes within the Northern Territory Insurance industry.
Open to anyone that is employed or works for any external Northern Territory company that provides services and support services to the Northern Territory insurance industry.
